Arsenal will be aiming for victory when they play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday to keep up their title charge, and Takehiro Tomiyasu is feeling confident about their chances.

The Gunners have recorded six wins and two draws in their last ten games against the Red Devils. The two defeats have come in their last two Premier League matches at Old Trafford.

However, Arsenal will fancy their chances against a Man United side that lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday.

Tomiyasu believes Arsenal’s defensive form will make leaving Old Trafford with all three points possible.

“The two centre-backs, Gabi (Gabriel) and [William] Saliba – they are so consistent, and so is Ben [White] as well,” Tomiyasu said.

“We have had a lot of clean sheets because of them. I want to be part of that [defence]. We will try to get another clean sheet at Old Trafford as well.

“Obviously it won’t be an easy game because it is a tough place to play and take three points. But we are confident and we will be there to get three points.”

Arsenal have kept 17 clean sheets in 36 league games this season, conceding just 28 goals. They should come out on top against a Man United side with the least goals (52) scored of all the teams in the top half of the table.

The injury-stricken Red Devils have also shipped 55 goals and kept just eight clean sheets in 35 league games, and the Gunners are favourites heading into the game.

While Man United have injuries to worry about at the back, Arsenal have a fully fit squad despite the absence of Tomiyasu in training yesterday.

Bukayo Saka is also available even though he is currently wearing strapping on his leg following the cut he sustained against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Gunners are desperate to win their first league title since 2004 and will put everything on the line against Man United this weekend.

They know they have to win their next two games to have a chance of pipping Manchester City to the title.

The Red Devils will ensure they put up a good fight, and nothing can be ruled out when both clubs take to the pitch on Sunday.
