“He is a talent, a diamond that we have,” said Joselu as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

“I think we have taken good care of him throughout the year. He didn’t get off to a good start with injuries but we have all supported him.

“We have treated him as if he were our youngest son, especially the older players. He is showing the quality he has, which is nothing new.

Guler showcased his skills during a thrilling 4-4 draw against Villarreal, where he scored two impressive goals. This performance brought his total to six goals in just ten La Liga matches this season.

Speaking further, Joselu added that he sees a great future for Guler and his qualities will bring immense joy to Real Madrid fans.

“He is a boy who has a great future ahead of him and he is going to bring a lot of joy to Real Madrid fans.”

Joselu’s take on the match

On the same night, Joselu added to his own impressive record by scoring a goal, bringing his season total to 18 goals.

After the match, the Espanyol forward reflected on the game and various other topics. He admitted that while Real Madrid played an excellent first half, Villarreal’s strong determination and fighting spirit turned the game around in the second half.

“I think the first half was very good. The team was very accurate offensively. These matches help us to prepare for what’s coming in two weeks and for everyone to have that spark of freshness and rhythm.

“In the second half, they had a lot at stake and it was certainly a very good game for the spectators. We have to take advantage of the positive things and move forward,” he explained.

A career-best return for Joselu

Meanwhile, Joselu also expressed his joy at scoring 18 goals for Real Madrid this season. He hopes to continue this streak and contribute even more to the team’s success in the future.

“I’m happy because every time I score a goal with this shirt it is special.

“For my account, I’m very happy, it has helped me to get a point here, although it’s clear that you want to score goals to win games. I’m happy to contribute and keep scoring goals,” he said.

The 34-year-old forward concluded by saying that he hopes matches like these will act as a positive catalyst for the team as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

“It is clear that it is not a good taste to concede four goals. But these games now, in which we play with the feeling of preparing for what is coming in two weeks, can be like that.

“They had a lot more at stake. The squad has done a great job from start to finish. Let’s hope that these league matches will help us prepare 100% for that great final.”
