A manager has issued a rallying cry ahead of their next match which happens to be against an out of form Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side.
The worst thing is as well, this team has only just beaten Chelsea in both of the club’s last matches.
Brighton knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup on Saturday night after coming from a goal behind to win 2-1, and they will be using the confidence from getting that win to then go into Friday night’s league game between the two sides and hoping to win again.
Chelsea are in for a tough game, they will be fully aware of that from Saturday. But they were also very poor in that game and basically handed it to Brighton. So really, they just need to improve and drop better individual performances all over the pitch in order to avoid their second defeat in a row to Brighton.
Fabian Hurzeler on the touchline for Brighton.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has said that his team can beat any side in this league ahead of the league game against Chelsea on Friday.
“For sure it will be a different challenge. We have to prepare for that, have the same mindset that we can prove again that we can beat every team in this league.
“The standards I always demand are intensity and doing the basic things right, because these are things we can control. You can’t always control scoring, or making an assist.”
I think it’s a tough one to call this in all honesty. Chelsea have a point to prove, but Brighton have momentum and confidence. Both sides could actually fancy getting all three points in this game that has become very big now for Chelsea’s Champions League qualification hopes.
