Bukayo Saka believes Arsenal are back to their very best after thrashing West Ham United 5-2 away in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The winger assisted the Gunners’ opening two goals before converting from the penalty spot right before halftime to effectively seal all three points.
Gabriel Magalhães, Leandro Trossard, Martin Ødegaard and Kai Havertz also got on the scoresheet in a wild first half to close the gap to leaders Liverpool to six points.
The north London outfit bounced back from a run of just one win in six games in all competitions with a third successive win in convincing fashion in the space of a week.
“I am taking a lot of pleasure from creating and scoring but the greatest pleasure is to win,” Saka told Sky Sports after the final whistle.
“Let’s keep this form going. Definitely the last three games we have been back.”
Saka is now on ten assists after Arsenal‘s 13 league games this season – only Harry Kane (11 in 2020-21), Cesc Fàbregas (12 in 2014-15) and Mesut Özil (12 in 2015-16) have reached double figures fewer games into a team’s Premier League campaign.
The 23-year-old has is now up to 15 goal involvements in the top flight this term, second only to Liverpool star Mo Salah (16).
