Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic could end up staying at Allianz Stadium despite the mounting exit rumours.

Vlahovic’s contract saga has dominated the headlines this summer. The Old Lady have been trying to sell the Serbian after he declined a renewal offer on lower terms.

His contract expires next summer and the Old Lady are open to cashing in on him on a cut-price fee worth €25 million.

However, there haven’t been any contract proposals for the Serbian star, which could eventually force Juventus to change their stance.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vlahovic is willing to play out the final year of his contract, even though he risks getting ostracised from the squad.

The 25-year-old does not want to waive his €12 million per year salary at Juve. He is Serie A’s top earner.

The Bianconeri have also declined Vlahovic’s request to terminate his contract with a severance pay worth €10 million. They want to recuperate at least one-third of the €80m transfer fee they paid to Fiorentina.

Juve do not seem to have any leverage over Vlahovic’s future unless a substantial offer knocks on their door. But those chances are also dwindling since there is not enough time left in the transfer window.

AC Milan have been linked with Vlahovic, but were put off by his astronomical wages.

They have seemingly moved on from the Serbian and have shifted their focus towards Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic will not be part of Igor Tudor’s plans even if he decides to stay next season.

Having signed Jonathan David on a free transfer, Juventus are working to finalise a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani for €50 million.

They are accelerating player sales to make room for potential transfer targets like Jadon Sancho and Morten Hjulmand.
