Villarreal star agrees €35m+ Premier League switch | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Villarreal is all set to take his talents to England with Everton this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who point towards Thierno Barry as the player in question.

Frontman Barry is for his part fresh off a productive debut campaign in Spanish football.

In 41 appearances across all competitions in the colours of the aforementioned Villarreal, the 22-year-old racked up an impressive 19 goals, and four assists.

With such production, though, comes inevitable outside interest.

A number of clubs from across Europe, most notably in the Premier League, are understood to have been sniffing around Barry’s signature for some time now.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, one such suitor now appear to have beaten out the competition to land the talented attacker.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Thierno Barry to Everton, here we go! Deal in place for 22 year old striker to join from Villarreal. Package worth €35m plus add-ons, new striker for David Moyes who was also wanted by more Premier League clubs.’
