Carlos Soler’s (28) future does not lie at West Ham United, who have opted against making his loan spell permanent, but nor does it lie at his parent club, Paris Saint-Germain.
Soler, like Randal Kolo Muani, Nordi Mukiele, Renato Sanches, Milan Skriniar, etc. will all return to PSG this summer following their respective loan spells. However, Le Parisien understands that none of the players who spent the 2024/25 season out on loan have a future at the club.
Les Pairisiens are therefore looking to offload Soler this summer. The midfielder is now being linked with a return to his native Spain. As per a report from L’Équipe, Villarreal are in talks to sign the Spaniard. There are two options to conclude a deal, either a loan deal with a permanent option or a simple permanent transfer.
Next season, Villarreal will return to the UEFA Champions League after securing a fifth-place finish in La Liga.
