The Giallorossi legend was relieved of his duties on Wednesday morning after a winless start to the 2024-25 campaign. Despite picking up eight wins and a draw from his first 10 games in charge, DDR managed just one victory over his last 11 competitive matches.

De Rossi was met by fans outside the gates of the Roma training ground on Wednesday morning. He stopped to sign a few autographs before driving away with a poignant “Ciao ciao.”

Reports in Italy confirm that Ivan Juric is set to be appointed as the new Roma coach on a short-term deal until the end of the 2024-25 season. The former Torino and Hellas Verona coach will have an option to extend if he and the squad qualify for next year’s edition of the Champions League.
