With personal terms already agreed with the 26-year-old, a transfer was expected to be completed soon.
However, journalist Santi Aouna claims Napoli have rejected Galatasaray’s offer as they are unhappy with the payment terms.
They demanded bank guarantees and an immediate cash payment, which the Turkish outfit are unable to make.
Osimhen enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Galatasaray last season, bagging 37 goals and seven assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
His goals helped them win the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup. They want to sign him on a permanent contract and are ready to pay his release clause.
But they have hit a significant stumbling block over payment terms, putting the deal in danger of falling apart.
Osimhen is an elite striker renowned for his pace, strength and goalscoring ability.
He has scored 76 goals in 133 matches for Napoli and helped them win the Serie A title in 2022-23.
Several top European clubs, including Manchester United, have been linked with Osimhen.
United are in the market for a striker after underwhelming displays from Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
They view Osimhen as an excellent option but are not ready to meet his wage demands.
