Victor Lindelöf joins Aston Villa after Man Utd exit | OneFootball

Aston Villa have secured the services of Swedish international Victor Lindelöf in a deadline-day capture following the expiry of his contract at Manchester United.

The 31-year-old centre-back, who spent eight seasons at Old Trafford and made more than 280 appearances, is set to sign a two-year deal at Villa Park with an option to extend until 2028. Reports suggest that a medical is already underway and the contract terms have been agreed.

Villa manager Unai Emery has moved to strengthen his defensive options as the club prepare for another demanding season, which includes European football.
