The US Women's National Team bounced back from their loss against Brazil in April with a comfortable 3-0 friendly win against China at Allianz Field.
Scorers: Macario 29', Coffey 36', Heaps 54'
On an afternoon when key defender Naomi Girma returned to the XI for the first time this calendar year, Emma Hayes's outfit hardly missed a beat in St. Paul, banking a two-goal advantage before the halftime interval.
Goals from Chelsea star Catarina Macario and Portland Thorns midfielder Sam Coffey gifted the Stars and Stripes an advantage they were hardly under threat of surrendering across 90 minutes.
Normal service resumed after the interval when OL Lyonnes' Lindsey Heaps bagged her 38th goal for the United States to extend their advantage while putting the result out of sight.
Heaps' effort would be the last final major action on the day, with the US now set to lock horns with Jamaica on Tuesday at Energizer Park.
Standout Performer: Catarina Macario
A match-winning strike and a helper for Sam Coffey's effort from the Chelsea forward proved decisive, guaranteeing the US got back to winning ways before Tuesday night.
