Peter Crouch has claimed Noni Madueke can be “unplayable” at times as he hailed the winger’s performance against Everton.

Chelsea made it back to back wins in the Premier League as they secured a narrow 1-0 against the Toffees at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

Nicolas Jackson scored the only goal of the game with a brilliant strike, his first goal since December to keep Chelsea’s Champions League hopes alive.

Crouch impressed with Madueke

Chelsea put in one of their better performances, and it’s hard to think of anyone who had a bad game, which hasn’t been the case over the second half of the season.

Madueke impressed on the wing, in what was his fourth league start on the bounce, and although he didn’t score he was a threat and forced a couple of good saves from Jordan Pickford.

Crouch was impressed by the England international and praised him at full time, claiming he’s “unplayable” at times.

“I just feel like he can be unplayable at times,” he told TNT Sports.

“I think he can do it against anyone, for [Nathan] Patterson’s only second start of the season, it was a difficult one.

“He’s probably more comfortable on the right-hand side, but I don’t think it really matters which side he plays. I think maybe when he comes inside, the finishing could potentially be better on the other side.

“He showed that he can easily play there or anywhere across the front.”

Madueke has predominantly played on the right this season, but the fact he was effective on the left is a real boost for Enzo Maresca and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old has improved a lot this season and has been one of Chelsea’s better performers, with as many as six Premier League clubs said to be interested.

Madueke’s scored ten goals and registered five assists in 35 appearances in all competitions, and his form has seen him linked with moves away this summer.
