Arsenal have had a frustrating Premier League campaign with plenty of injuries, and they are currently six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the Gunners are exploring options to bolster the attack, but as things stand, the club are not close to recruiting anyone.

Meanwhile, there could be some exits before the transfer deadline, and The Telegraph claim that Oleksandr Zinchenko is ‘expected’ to leave the Gunners soon.

Borussia Dortmund have identified him as their top target to strengthen the left-back position after missing out on a loan deal for Renato Veiga from Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Myles Lewis-Skelly picked up a knee injury last weekend. It is reported that Arsenal may want to see the scan results before allowing Zinchenko to depart.

Zinchenko could be loaned out with obligation to buy

Lewis-Skelly was absent for the Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb last night due to injury. Arteta confirmed that he will be assessed in the next 24 hours.

If there is nothing serious, the Gunners could open the door for Zinchenko’s departure, considering they have Kieran Tierney and Riccardo Calafiori, who are fit once more.

Arsenal could be prepared to loan Zinchenko out for the remainder of the season, but they could demand an obligation to buy for £17 million in the summer, as per Florian Plettenberg.

Zinchenko, who has been described as ‘unbelievable‘ by Kevin De Bruyne, is unlikely to secure a regular starting role at Arsenal in the future with the vast competition at left-back.

The £30 million signing could head for the exit door as a result. It remains to be seen whether Dortmund agree to Arsenal’s conditions and are willing to pay his £150,000 per week wages.
