Two clubs join race to sign Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne – midfielder to ‘evaluate’ proposals | OneFootball

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is bracing for transfer offers from two further Saudi Arabian clubs this summer.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer, and is yet to undertake contract extensions talks with Manchester City officials regarding his long-term future, leading to transfer interest ahead of next month’s transfer window.

De Bruyne will bid to become a six-time Premier League winner this weekend, when Pep Guardiola’s side face West Ham United in east Manchester, requiring a victory to secure a fourth successive league title.

The Belgian has already won 15 trophies during his time at Manchester City, making 380 appearances and scoring over 100 goals for the Sky Blues since his arrival in 2015 for £55 million.

De Bruyne has been directly involved in 24 goals this season despite a long-term injury sidelining the midfielder between August and January, including 14 goal involvements in 17 Premier League appearances.

The midfielder is out of contract at the same time as manager Guardiola at the end of the 2024/25 season, but De Bruyne has been attracting transfer interest ahead of this summer, with the potential for the Sky Blues to be able to demand a sizeable fee for the 32-year-old.

Both the Saudi Pro League and MLS have emerged as potential destinations for the Belgian star, with the midfielder planning to evaluate any transfer proposals at the end of the season, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.

Those proposals may include offers from Saudi Arabian clubs Al Qadsiah and Al-Ittihad, with the two teams having reportedly joined the race to sign De Bruyne at the end of the season.

Manchester City sold both Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte to the Saudi Pro League last summer, and the Premier League is preparing for another series of high-profile exits to the Middle Eastern division this year.
