Liverpool were dealt a serious blow on Saturday night when Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a suspected hamstring injury in the Premier League game against Aston Villa.
With crunch matches against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the top flight coming up shortly after the international window, the Reds are now sweating on the fitness of one of their most important players.
The Times is reporting that Alexander-Arnold is set for an approximate two-week absence, meaning he is touch-and-go for the Premier League game against Southampton on November 24 - two weeks on from the injury at Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit are then in action against Real on November 27 before taking on City on December 1.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, was named in Lee Carsley's England squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Ireland this week but will now withdraw from international duty.
It's a devastating blow for the defender, who has established himself as England's best player over the last number of fixtures.
However it is a chance for Alexander-Arnold to recover without missing any club games with the Reds not in action for another two weeks.
It is expected that Alexander-Arnold might have to prove his fitness against Southampton, otherwise it's unlikely he will face Real.
Alexander-Arnold was withdrawn in the 25th minute of the Villa game, signalling to the bench that he needed to come off.
He was spotted clutching his hamstring on the Anfield turf before making his way to the sidelines.
Head coach Arne Slot shot the player a concerned look with Alexander-Arnold heading straight down the tunnel.
Conor Bradley was summoned to replace the right-back, with the Reds seeing off Villa by two goals to nil.
The Times also claimed that Alexander-Arnold had been 'playing through the pain barrier' having suffered a side strain during England's match against Finland last month.
Liverpool were reported to be managing him through the injury but now it appears that Alexander-Arnold is set for an extended spell of recovery.
