Transfer news LIVE!
Arsenal are aiming to kickstart their summer spending with a big-name striker signing. Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is the dream addition but a £200million price tag has been slapped on the player, meaning RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko is considered more realistic. However, reports overnight claim Victor Osimhen, preiviously expected to join Chelsea, could be the new target.
Talking of Chelsea, their manager search appears to be narrowing down to Enzo Maresca, Kieran McKenna and Roberto De Zerbi, with a new manager expected to place by the end of next week. Transfer dealings continue without a head coach, though, with Crystal Palace's Michael Olise due to be signed for around £60m no matter who is appointed.
Manchester United will soon be also on the hunt for a new manager, with Erik ten Hag expected to be sacked after the FA Cup Final, which is today. McKenna has been tipped as his replacement, and the interest is mutual. Meanwhile, Tottenham are weighing up moves for Conor Gallager, Ivan Toney and a wide forward. Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson has changed his mind about moving to the Premier League, in an apparent blow to Tottenham's transfer hopes.
Spurs have long been linked with the striker, who has 14 goals and three assists in Serie A this season.
But they will have to look elsewhere as Gudmundsson does not plan on leaving.
“(I’ll leave) only for a crazy opportunity,” he told Sportweek.
“As a child I dreamt of the Premier, but now I have changed my mind: here is life.
“Because my favourite position is that of number 10: for me it is important to have the freedom to be able to express my imagination and give vent to my shots.”
