Transfer expert tips Leicester to sack van Nistelrooy & appoint ex-PL boss

It appears that the gamble Leicester City board took by hiring Ruud van Nistelrooy as manager has thoroughly backfired. The Foxes seem doomed to repeat their unfortunate modern history by returning to the Championship consecutively. What a shame for a great club which was previously so well-run by current chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha's late father 'Khun' Vichai.

The ill-advised managerial move before the season's halfway point seemingly sunk the east Midlands team. It is hindsight, but keeping Steve Cooper was more advisable than appointing relative novice van Nistelrooy. Due to the former's Premier League record and experience in avoiding relegation, he was the clear preference. Though even I didn't necessarily support Cooper; at this site we were admittedly intrigued over the Dutchman's potential capacity.

However, more alterations could soon transpire on Filbert Way. In fact, I think wholesale change are more than likely at King Power Stadium to be honest. And those new faces could emerge amongst the senior squad and beyond. Meanwhile behind the scenes staff might perhaps be rotated as well. A shakeup is rather urgently required at LCFC! And the gaffer is not immune either, as you can probably imagine.

One transfer expert has actually suggested that Leicester will sack van Nistelrooy soon. And the person in question reckons the Foxes may appoint one particularly well-known ex-Premier League head coach. So, who is this mystery man that could arrive to take over at City? Is the switch probable in our opinion? And do we think he would suit LCFC?

Transfer expert thinks Leicester City may dismiss Ruud van Nistelrooy and appoint Sean Dyche

Dyche would be the ideal candidate to keep a side in the English top flight. I'm not so sure he's the best person to oversee a rebuild and win the second division title with aplomb. His hypothetical appointment at Leicester certainly feels plausible:

"Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Transfer Correspondent Graeme Bailey has provided the latest on Dyche’s future.Ruud van Nistelrooy has been unable to turn things around at the King Power Stadium, and Bailey believes that could be a move which may open up for the 53-year-old.“Well, Sean Dyche is going to be a wanted man – the three relegated teams, will be interesting – one is definitely changing manager and I think Leicester will too,” he said.“So, there are two chances but either way I expect that Dyche could be in charge of a Championship club by the start of next season.”"
