Udinese center-forward Lorenzo Lucca hailed Inter Milan as the ‘strongest’ team in Serie A ahead of Sunday’s clash at the San Siro.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Lucca previewed the game and addressed his personal goals.
It’s been a superb campaign for Lorenzo Lucca, even though Kosta Runjaic’s men struggle in mid-table lethargy.
Indeed, the 24-year-old has bagged ten goals from 28 league appearances.
Therefore, he has established himself as Udinese’s top goalscorer in Serie A this season.
Moreover, Lucca’s scintillating form at the Bluenergy Stadium hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Several clubs, including Inter, have inquired about his services heading into the summer transfer window.
Given his impressive physique and aerial skills, Lucca would be a decent replacement for the outgoing Marko Arnautovic.
However, the Italian striker won’t come cheap, with Udinese looking to profit from his inevitable exit.

Lucca first shared his view of the San Siro.
“I’d say the Temple of Football,” he stated. “The highest point for a footballer. Entering it with the national team is something truly unique.”
Meanwhile, Lucca scored a superb solo goal in Udinese’s 3-2 home loss in September’s reverse fixture.
“A beautiful goal, yes. But it didn’t earn us any points, even though we played well,” Lucca added.
“Sunday’s game matters a lot to us. After the break, we’ll come back fired up.
“We’ve shown that we step up in big games but struggle more against smaller teams.
“We need to make the most of every chance because the top sides get many more.
“We’re going up against a team of world-class players, one of the strongest out there.
“The standings say they’re the best right now.”
Finally, when asked whether he’d stay or leave Serie A after his experience in Udine, Lucca replied: “It makes no difference to me.
“I’ve grown physically, technically, and mentally.
:Abroad, I see more goals, while Serie A is tough, but that challenge gives me adrenaline. I control my own destiny.”
