Paris Saint-Germain have quietly reshaped their center-back group over the past year, bringing in Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho. With summer approaching, it wouldn’t be surprising if the club looked to add another young piece to the mix.

Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, and Lucas Hernandez remain important figures, but there are lingering concerns. Marquinhos is now in his mid-30s, and Kimpembe and Hernandez have had serious injuries. It’s clear PSG still need to reinforce the backline with younger options.

According to a recent report from Le Parisien, sporting advisor Luis Campos traveled to Italy last week to scout several players—among them, Lazio center-back Mario Gila during the club’s match against Bodo Glimt. Gila has reportedly been identified as a possible target for the summer window.

CaughtOffside reported on Tuesday, citing sources, that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Gila.

The report also claims that Lazio are ready to let the player leave this summer for a fee in the €40 million to €45 million range. It’ll be interesting to see if any of the previously mentioned clubs make a move once the season ends.

Tottenham could use more depth at the back, especially with Cristian Romero linked to a potential exit. Meanwhile, Real Madrid still hold a 50 percent resale clause from the deal that took Gila to Lazio.
