Tottenham make approach for Chelsea’s Axel Disasi | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach to sign Chelsea’s Axel Disasi (26), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.

Disasi has played a peripheral role at Chelsea since completing his move from AS Monaco. He is one of the players that the London club have been open to offloading this January. The France international had looked set for a move to Aston Villa, however, for reasons that have not yet come to light, Chelsea have been blocking the move.

Aston Villa are nonetheless still in the race to sign Disasi, although they now face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham. As per Romano, the Frenchman has been approached by Spurs about a move before the closure of the transfer window on Monday night. The defender has also already agreed terms over a move to Aston Villa and so it is now up to the player to make a final decision on his future.
