Tottenham Hotspur are facing a potential battle to retain the services of promising young defender Radu Dragusin.

Dragusin, who joined Spurs from Genoa in January, has shown immense potential. He struggled initially but is acclimatising to his new environment and has been a valuable asset to the club, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven battling injuries.

Even though he had catastrophic outings like his performance against Qarabag, he has shown his quality.

He was fantastic as Tottenham thrashed Manchester City 4-0 weeks ago, winning three out of five duels. He made two clearances and blocked two shots while keeping a deserved clean sheet. The Romanian international followed it with another superb outing against Fulham.

His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with Juventus now considering a potential move to bring him back to Turin. He had spent some of his formative years at the club before heading out on loan to prove his mettle.

The Bianconeri need defensive reinforcement after losing Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to long-term injuries. They are eyeing a move for their academy product.

While Tottenham are determined to keep hold of the talented defender, they may face stiff competition from the Old Lady. Juventus could offer a tempting proposition for Dragusin financially and in terms of playing opportunities.

As the January transfer window approaches, Tottenham must decide on Dragusin’s future. They may have to consider alternative options to strengthen their defensive line if they cannot convince him to stay.

With Spurs looking to challenge for major honours, retaining key players like Dragusin is crucial, but the 6ft3ins centre-half must be itching for consistent playing time, which he knows he can get in Italy. The coming weeks will be pivotal in determining the outcome of this transfer saga.
