Celtic right back Tony Ralston has been named in Steve Clarke’s starting XI for the friendly against Lichtenstein. The 26-year-old was named on the bench for the defeat against Iceland, which ended in a dismal defeat.

Clarke, who lost Angus Gunn and Robby McCrorie on Friday, has named incoming Celtic stopper Ross Doohan as No.1 for the game. Doohan cut short a family holiday to join up with the National Team and has been rewarded with the gloves for the friendly.

Doohan will start behind a back four that features Ralston, Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna and Liverpool star Andy Robertson.

In midfield, Celtic target Lennon Miller starts beside Lewis Ferguson and Billy Gilmour.

George Hirst starts through the middle with Che Adams and John McGinn in support.

Scotland: Doohan, Ralston, Hendry, S.McKenna, Robertson, Ferguson, Miller, Gilmour, McGinn, Adams, Hirst.

Subs: C.McKenna, Slicker, Hanley, Conway, Souttar, Irving, Wilson, Barron, Johnston, Doig, Patterson, Bowie.

Scotland need to get back to winning ways, especially after the dismal defeat on Friday night. The manager will want to silence his critics but he will know that he has an impressive array of players available and that results are expected.
