Loving this from Bruno Guimaraes.
The Newcastle United Captain showing real leadership.
Bruno Guimaraes, a player who never hides.
The Newcastle United skipper feeling he has to make this very personal statement below.
This follows the FA Cup defeat to Brighton on Sunday.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup final in two weeks time and indeed, ahead of these remaining 11 Premier League matches, with United currently only two points off Champions League qualification.
Here at The Mag we are happy to say that we stand with Bruno.
We win AND lose together.
Bruno Guimaraes via his personal social media – 3 March 2025:
“Disappointed not to progress in the FA Cup, as it was clearly one of our goals.
“Moments like this are when we need to stick together the most.
“I know that when eliminations like this happen, it’s hard to accept, and we always look for someone to blame.
“If you need to find one, you can blame me.
We have two weeks before one of the most important games for the club in recent years, and we must be ready for this great opportunity.
“My only request is that, in this moment, we stay united as one and go after the best for the club because we still have great things ahead.”
All a bit embarrassing how some Newcastle United fans carry on, no sense of balance, no sense of perspective.
No acknowledgement of what this group of Newcastle United players have given us this season and indeed in recent seasons.
The over the top abusive comments from some Newcastle United fans on individual players, the team as a whole, as well as even Eddie Howe. Totally unacceptable and a disgrace.
All teams and players have times when they aren’t performing at their best levels and/or when simply things go against them.
It is at those times when Newcastle United fans should be most behind the players and manager.
