It is unfortunate that the footballing world continues to frown upon MLS.
By comparison, the league will fall well short of the inner sanctum occupied by clubs from Europe and large swaths of South America, but there is no denying some of the clear talent that exists from coast to coast in the United States and Canada.
As talents both homegrown and imported from foreign shores continue to show their worth week in week out, here's another installment of the top five goals from the MLS weekend.
Hitting a first goal for your club is always a special moment, and Austin FC's Robert Taylor may never score one better than his long-range hit to postage stamp all three points for his club on the road in the nation's capital.
The Finnish midfielder swamped South Florida for East Texas during the current 2025 MLS season, but may have already endeared himself to club supporters with this inch-perfect hit that kissed the post for good measure.
Nothing hits harder than a match-winning hit, especially one that comes with a bit of panache along with it.
Level at one-all against visiting Colorado, Philadelphia's Mikael Uhre stepped up in the clutch to hit his first of two late strikes to put the result out of sight in the City of Brotherly Love.
Receiving on top of the box, the Danish forward danced to freedom before unleashing a low drive into the bottom far corner, only to hit another six minutes later to send the Union back to the top of the pile in the East.

It was an absolute goal-fest in Dallas when NYCFC came to town on Friday evening, and fans owe Costa Rican striker Alonso Martínez for much of the entertainment at Toyota Stadium.
Two-one down inside the opening 20 minutes of action, Martínez took it upon himself to will the Pigeons to a three-point hall away from the Big Apple, which he kicked off in earnest with this goal to make it 2-2 in the 23rd minute when he busted through the Dallas defensive line to cheakly dispatch his effort past Maarten Paes before ultimately ending the night with a three-goal performance.
A strike that was not nominated for one of the Goal of the Matchday selections may seem out of place on this list, and while Peglow's goal itself showed a clinical edge, it's the budding attacking partnership between him and compatriot Gabriel Pirani that stands out.
Pirani's telepathic connection with Peglow has been sublime to watch numerous times this season, with the two 23-year-olds having previously emerged from the youth pipelines of Internacional and Santos.
The technique in the build-up passage, the inch-perfect ball, the finish...Joga Bonito.
Last but not least, the goal that won the Moment of the Matchday this past weekend, and the absolute screamer dispatched by Atlanta United's Alexey Miranchuk.
With The Five Stripes down a goal at home against the visiting Seattle Sounders, the 29-year-old Russian midfielder took aim and hit a blockbuster into the top corner to beat Andrew Thomas in the ninth minute of added time to rescue a point at the Benz.
