Queens Park Rangers are undergoing a summer rebuild, with a new manager to be appointed. Here are three players who may not be with them next season.

Queens Park Rangers face a summer rebuild following a disappointing 2024/25 season. With a new manager due to be appointed, their team could look very different by the start of next season.

QPR still haven't appointed a new manager to replace the still-on-gardening-leave Marti Cifuentes, but regardless of who comes in next, it looks like being a summer change at Loftus Road.

There's already been a mountain of conjecture concerning the future of Jimmy Dunne, who is believed to still be in discussions with the club about a new contract with Sheffield United circling, but here are three other players who may not be appearing in a hooped shirt next season.

Hevertton Santos

The Brazilian full-back Hevertton Santos signed for QPR on a free transfer upon the expiry of his previous contract with the Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora.

But the 23-year-old wing-back hasn't settled at Loftus Road yet. He made just six appearances for them in the first half of the 2024/25 season and was sent back to Portugal in January, to Vitoria de Guimaraes.

The loan, however, didn't go brilliantly. He only made a further six appearances in Liga Portugal, and although Vitoria were reported to have an option to purchase him for €2 million (£1.7 million), it seems that they're not going to trigger that and that the player is headed back to West London. It wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprising to see him back out on loan again next season or sold, if Rangers can find a buyer.

Zan Celar

As a Slovenian international and the previous season's top scorer in the Swiss Super League, there were high hopes for Zan Celar when he arrived at Loftus Road from Lugano in July 2024.

But things just didn't quite go the way that Rangers had hoped, and there were reports that he had been offered to the German giants Werder Bremen in the January transfer window.

This move didn't come to pass, but Celar could only manage two goals from 19 League appearances for QPR last season. Injuries played their part, but the managerial saga might well work against him heading into 2025/26.

Celar is estimated by Salary Sport to be the club's third-highest-earning player, and the club may welcome the £15,000-a-week he's reported to be earning being freed up to spend elsewhere. He could well find himself out on loan next season.

Morgan Fox

The players that QPR lose this summer might not all be the players they want to lose.

Morgan Fox has been with Rangers since signing from Stoke upon the expiry of his contract with them in July 2023. Fox has been a success at Loftus Road, with 26 appearances for them in the 2024-25 season, but it was reported by Hull Live in April that, with Fox's Rangers contract expiring at the end of the season, they could face a "three-way transfer tussle" to retain his services beyond the end of the season, with Blackburn Rovers and Millwall also potentially interested in him. With over a decade's experience, it's not surprising that other clubs are interested.

On their end-of-season retain and release list, Rangers confirmed that discussions were ongoing with the player over a new contract, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Without a manager and with other clubs circling, it could well be that Fox starts next season playing elsewhere.
