Could EURO 2025 see its first big exit on Wednesday? As current holders, England will hope not.

Before we get into today's action, what happened yesterday? ⏪

Germany battled from behind to beat Denmark 2-1, with plenty of long VAR delays and, finally, goals from Sjoeke Nüsken and Lea Schüller sending the 2022 finalists into the knockout rounds.

They were joined by Sweden, who ran out convincing 3-0 winners against Poland, in no small part thanks to a Stina Blackstenius brace.

The two sides will play each other for top spot in Group C on Saturday.

Who is playing today? 👀

There is an absolutely enormous game for England. The Lionesses lost their opener to France and defeat to the Netherlands would mean they are all but out.

If England do lose, an exit will likely be confirmed by the end of the night, should France avoid defeat against Wales.

England struggled to keep up with France in midfield and on the flanks last week, but the Netherlands don't pose the same questions in those areas of the pitch.

If weaknesses were exposed in that opening match and the Dutch do look to exploit them, it will be down to tenacious midfielder Danielle van de Donk to set the tone. If the England midfield can win their battle against here, then they'll believe they can play the game on their terms and get back to winning ways.

A week ago Sarina Wiegman had never lost a EUROs match. She had never lost a tournament match that wasn't a final.

We don't know how she responds to a setback like this.

Will there be changes? Will England be able to bounce back mentally a few days after a disappointing performance? Or will the reigning European champions be sent home after just 180 minutes in Switzerland?
