The kick-off time for the 2024 FA Community Shield has been. Manchester City will take on Manchester United in the traditional curtain raiser for the English domestic season at Wembley.

The game will kick off at 1500 (UK time) on Saturday, August 10. It is a much more fan-friendly kick-off time. With the majority of both sets of fans having to travel to London from Manchester the Saturday kick-off is much better than a Sunday match between the two teams.

Manchester City have lost in their past two FA Community Shield appearances. They lost last season’s match against Arsenal via a penalty shootout after a 1-all draw. Before that, they were beaten 3-2 by Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s side will be hungry to beat their arch-rivals in next season’s curtain raiser. After losing the past two Community Shields and after losing to United in last season’s FA Cup final they’ll be hungry to start the 24/25 season in a winning manner.
