There were 16 goals, two hat-tricks, a shock result and controversy during a manic Saturday in the Premier League.
Here we break down an extraordinary afternoon.
Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick as Manchester City kept up their 100% start to the season after beating Fulham while Chelsea suffered a shock defeat at home to Nottingham Forest.
Elsewhere, Son Heung-min also bagged a hat-trick to demolish Burnley and continue Tottenham’s impressive start to life under Ange Postecoglou while Bournemouth remain without a win after a draw at Brentford.
It was a close-run thing between Son and Haaland but we have to opt for the South Korean, who flourished in a new central striker role for Spurs.
The 31-year-old now has more Premier League goals (106) than Didier Drogba (105) and Cristiano Ronaldo (103).
City had too much for Fulham on the day but their second goal was surrounded in controversy and will no doubt be a talking point in the days to come.
Nathan Ake headed home from Phil Foden’s corner to make it 2-1 in first-half stoppage time but VAR took some time to consider allowing the goal after Manuel Akanji was stood in an offside position.
The Swiss defender didn’t touch the ball but did appear to be blocking Bernd Leno’s line of sight which should’ve seen the goal disallowed but VAR saw no problem with the incident and eventually allowed the goal.
A kick in the guts for Marco Silva and his time.
Man City will go into the first international break of the season top of the Premier League after the perfect start, while Tottenham fans sing of having their club back after another stylish showing under their new manager.
Chelsea sit in a newly-familiar position, in 12th, after a second defeat in four games which leaves them having taken just four points under Mauricio Pochettino so far.
Nottingham Forest have ran Arsenal and Manchester United close in their first few games, even taking a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford last week, and they got their rewards finally in London after a disciplined and determined display.
Erling Haaland: “I’m back. No problem for me, I’m always hungry. It’s a new season and I’m ready.”
Ange Postecoglou: “It was good today for sure. I thought the team were outstanding in staying calm and clear headed after going a goal down and just playing our football.
We’re having to deal without our dose of Barclays action for two weeks now as the international break takes place but we will be welcomed back with a tasty top-of-the-table clash between West Ham and Manchester City.
