The Juventus Women First Team's pre-season got off to a very positive start as they beat Zurich 9-1 in Vinovo. There was a hat-trick for Amalie Vangsgaard, a brace for Alisha Lehmann, and goals for Martina Rosucci, Martina Tosello, Chiara Bianchi and Emma Stolen Godo.

How Juvenuts’ first friendly played out

Several new faces were in the starting eleven chosen by coach Massimiliano Canzi, from Danielle de Jong in goal to the trio of Estela Carbonell, Cristina Libran and Matilde Pavan. It was a match that the Bianconere started very quickly, heading into the break with a commanding lead. The scoring was started by Amelie Vangsgaard, who was the star of the first 45 minutes in which she scored a hat-trick.

Interspersing the Danish striker's goals was Alisha Lehmann with her double, secured before a slight physical issue put an early end to her game. Closing the influx of goals in the first half was also Martina Rosucci's effort from a corner.

The second-half began as the first half had ended: 90 seconds in and Martina Tosello, in her first appearance for the senior team, found the goal that made it 7-0. Stolen Godo and Bianchi rounded off the scoring in a second half in which coach Canzi brought on many players from the bench and several young prospects.

Zurich managed to score a consolation, but a 9-1 win will make Canzi and his staff very happy.
