How the 2024/25 Premier League prize money was divided up, the amount that each of the 20 clubs received.
That is all detailed below via a new BBC Sport report.
So how did Newcastle United get on compared to their rivals, when it came to banking Premier League prize money last (2024/25) season?
Newcastle United and all of the other 19 clubs, each received a central commercial payment of £7.9m and equal shares from UK (£29.8m) and international (£59.2m) revenues.
You then add on what each club is paid when it comes to a facility fee for matches broadcast on domestic TV.
This led to a total figure of Premier League prize money for Newcastle United of £160.2m.
All 20 clubs earn a share of Premier League prize money. The amount each club receives depends on their league position and number of televised matches.
Prize money consists of UK and international merit broadcast payments, equal shares, commercial revenues and facility fees.
All clubs received a central commercial payment of £7.9m and equal shares from UK (£29.8m) and international (£59.2m) revenues.
Clubs are also paid a facility fee for matches broadcast on domestic TV. Liverpool had 30 of their 38 league matches televised – more than any other club.

19th: Ipswich Town – £111.1m
20th: Southampton – £109.2m
As you can see, the number of times a club gets chosen for UK live TV coverage, means that both Tottenham and Manchester United received more cash than some clubs that finished above them in the Premier League last season.
Whilst of course Newcastle United have a huge long-term challenge to close the gap financially on the clubs that built up their power, on and off the pitch, whilst United were dragged back the other way by Mike Ashley for a decade and a half. It is worth noting that Newcastle United banked £34.2m more than Tottenham in Premier League prize money last season, £24.0m more than Man U. Every little helps.
