The agent of Francesco Pio Esposito says Inter Milan “believe in” the 19-year-old striker and “won’t sell him for any price.”

Pio Esposito’s agent Mario Giuffredi spoke to Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino, via FCInterNews.

Teenage striker Francesco Pio Esposito is having a real breakout moment for Inter Milan.

Pio Esposito is part of the Inter squad at the Club World Cup in the United States.

The Italy Under-21 international made his first ever start for the Nerazzurri’s senior team this week. He was in the lineup against River Plate in a huge group stage match.

And Pio Esposito made the most of that big opportunity.

The 19-year-old scored the decisive goal in a 2-0 win for the Nerazzurri. Furthermore, the goal was only the cherry top of an outstanding performance in terms of holdup play.

Pio Esposito’s agent Mario Giuffredi commented on this dramatic rise by the young striker.

The agent noted that when it comes to young players “there’s shortsightedness in Italy, what’s wrong with saying that?”

Giuffredi argued that “if he were Argentine or French, then everyone would want to sign him right now.”

But “Inter believe in him.”

“They won’t sell him for €25 million,” said Pio Esposito’s agent. “And not for any price.”

“He’s extended his contract until 2030. And we all expect him to have a big role to play in a Nerazzurri shirt.”

Giuffredi added that “I have zero doubts about him.”

“Just like with his other two brothers, with whom he’s very close.”

Then, the agent gave his thoughts on the possibility of a national team call-up for Franco Pio Esposito. He called new Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso “courageous.”

“If he were to consider Pio to be ready for Italy, then he certainly wouldn’t care too much about his age.”
