“Talks” | Hammers aim to land Suzuki

West Ham are in talks to sign Palma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.

The highly rated Japan international, who has been the subject of serious interest from top clubs across Europe, is understood to have held talks with West Ham over a move this summer.

It was believed that once West Ham had the coaching staff for the goalkeeping next season in place, that a move for a new man between the posts would accelerate, with Suzuki emerging as the clubs key target, although there is still strong interest in Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

Talks for Suzuki are expected to continue, with the hope of a deal being reached, which would be a statement signing for the club, however there is expected to be competition for his signature this transfer window.
