Stuttgart, the current German Cup champion, defeated Brunswick 8-7 in penalties on Tuesday, after a 4-4 draw at the end of extra time, in the first round of the 2025-2026 edition of the tournament in a knockout format.

The Swabian team came out on top in the visit to the opponent, currently in the second division, in a spectacular duel that ended 3-3 after 90 minutes and then 4-4 in extra time.
