Stefano Pioli returns to Fiorentina | OneFootball

Fiorentina announced the official appointment of Stefano Pioli.

The Italian technician concluded his spell at Al Nassr, making his return to Florence.

“ACF Fiorentina announces that Stefano Pioli is the new head coach of the men’s first team,” reads the official statement.

“Pioli, who played at Fiorentina from 1989 to 1995 and coached the team from 2017 to 2019, has signed a three-year contract with the club until June 30, 2028.

The new Fiorentina coach will be supported by the following technical staff:

President Rocco Commisso had this to say about the new coach: “I am very happy that Stefano Pioli is the new coach of Fiorentina’s first team. From the very first moment I spoke to him, I found a coach with great human values who is ready to do everything he can for this club and this city, which he knows very well and has a close bond with. Together with my family and all of Fiorentina, I want to welcome Stefano back and wish him every success at our club.”

Pioli will greet the fans with the first team on July 14 during the Viola Carpet event and then meet the press on Wednesday, July 16 at 12:00 CEST, at the Wind Tre Media Center of Viola Park.”
