Alexander Isak's renewed his demand to leave Newcastle United for Liverpool despite intervention from Saudi chairman Yasir Al Rumayyan and the club’s owners.

Isak’s clear stance

According to The Telegraph, the 25 year old striker's refused to return to training and remains committed to transfer. Reports suggest Isak would only reconsider if Liverpool completely abandoned their pursuit.

Liverpool aren't planning to meet Newcastle’s 150m sterling pound valuation. The Reds know they're the only serious contender and will only move if conditions change late in the window.

Representatives from the Saudi Public Investment Fund PIF & co owner Jamie Reuben met Isak on Monday but talks ended without progress. The final decision rests with PIF, with Al Rumayyan holding the key influence.
