Oumar Diakité / Cercle Bruges
Oumar Diakité is joining Cercle Brugge this Monday, September 1, 2025. The 21-year-old Ivorian forward is temporarily leaving Stade de Reims to sign a paid loan deal with the Belgian club. The purchase option is reportedly set at 3 million euros, according to the latest information.
Oumar Diakité turns an important page in his Reims journey after two full seasons in Champagne. Arriving in June 2023 from RB Salzburg, the center-forward quickly broke into the first team. His debut in the red and white shirt came against Olympique de Marseille in August 2023.
His club performances earned him a call-up to the Ivorian national team. In February 2024, Diakité experienced a career highlight by winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with the Elephants.
“Cercle Brugge has secured a new striker: Ivorian Oumar Diakité joins on loan from Stade de Reims. Cercle has also negotiated a purchase option,” confirmed the Brugge club.
