Spurs striker Will Lankshear and academy midfielder Tyrese Hall have both left the club on loan.

Lankshear has joined Championship side Oxford United whilst Hall will play in League Two next season, for Notts County.

The departures follow shortly after young Tottenham star Mikey Moore joined Rangers on loan.

The promising striker, viewed by some as an heir to club legend Harry Kane, struggled to make an impact during a spell at West Brom last season where he failed to score a goal.

Lankshear, who made his first team debut in last season’s Europa League competition, is now hoping he will find form at Oxford United. He said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for me to be joining a great club.

“I learned so much last season in the first team at Tottenham and West Brom and I’m ready to now kick on with Oxford United.

“I’ve had some really good conversations with the manager, and I feel like this is the right place for me to be.

“I love nothing more than scoring goals. I want to do my best to bring as many as I can this season.

Despite being a striker, the Englishman believes that he can offer more than just hitting the back of the net for Oxford United next season.

“My game is about more than just goals,” he explained. “I’m a player that has taken all the information from the top professionals I’ve worked with and I’m now ready to bring it together, work hard for the team and deliver for the club.”

Midfielder Hall, 19, signed a five year contract at Tottenham last year but is yet to make his mark in the first team.

Notts County Director of Football Roberto Gagliardi is delighted to have him at the club next year.

“We’ve worked hard to bring Tyrese to Meadow Lane, with George Abbott’s successful loan and our relationship with Tottenham undoubtedly being influential in him coming to us.

“Our thanks go to Spurs for once again recognising the valuable contribution we can make to one of their top young players’ development.”
