Kamaldeen Sulemana insists that Southampton didn't made any mistake in signing him.

A good majority of Southampton fans would admit that Manchester City have been the most decorated Premier League team in recent memory. Tracing the roots of English football, the most successful club has arguably been their neighbor Manchester United.

Yet, they have been associated with failed signings more than glorious evenings nowadays. Thus, the bottom line remains that no team is guaranteed a linear progress if their marquee signings keep letting them down every time.

Speaking about Southampton, the Saints are also suffering from a disappointing recruitment syndrome. There are many instances where the club has impatiently made many additions but none comes close to Kamaldeen Sulemana's capture.

Don't get me wrong, his ongoing ascent is inspiring but his attacking numbers are pretty dismal for a regular first team forward. Despite these flaws, the entire Southampton faithful has backed him but the 23-year-old is yet to repay that faith.

Kamaldeen Sulemana considers his recruitment similar to Paul Pogba

To rub salt into these wounds, Sulemana is lacking in his responsibilities towards the Saints as well. To the extent that he rules out concluding his St. Mary's stay as a failed signing.

To begin with, Pogba's shortcomings were related with inconsistencies but his overall Manchester United spell wasn't a nightmare. Therefore, Sulemana's analogy is widely off the mark with his Southampton journey.

Further, the supporters can also highlight other top transfers like Matheus Fernandes and Taylor Harwood-Bellis who have given their level best without being satisfied with themselves. Consequently, the wide attacker must look up to his young teammates to improve his matchday performances and let his on-field displays do the talking instead.
