Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has pinpointed "concentration" and "sloppiness" as key factors in the club's woeful run of form that has piled the pressure on Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs haven't won a Premier League game since beating Southampton on 15 December, taking just five points from a possible 33 since the start of last month. Sunday's defeat against struggling Leicester City was a sixth defeat in their last seven league outings.

Postecoglou is facing the brunt of frustration, although the club hierarchy is reported to consider him safe for now, acknowledging the impact that injuries have had on results.

Son spoke to the media after the "very painful" Leicester defeat, which saw Spurs fall to a 2-1 score-line after leading the game at half-time. It was within the first five minutes of the second half when the visiting Foxes scored their equaliser and decisive winner.

"We can't just [blame] tiredness because we had just came out for the second half. Maybe it was a little bit sloppy, it is not individual mistakes, generally everything is just combining together," Son said.

"It is just a lack of concentration and a bit of sloppiness, and in the Premier League table any team can punish us."

The skipper added: "We try to block any outside noise out of the squad and group. We just want to get as many points as possible. There is still a lot of games to play, we want to get players back and experienced players and that will be very helpful.

"We just need to concentrate on every game and training session."

Ater the latest round of results, Spurs sit 15th, an uncomfortable eight points above the relegation zone. Next up is the respite of a Europa League home game against Elfsborg, before travelling across London to face Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
