Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has confirmed that Celtic have reignited their interest in Sarpsborg winger Sondre Ørjasæter. Brendan Rodgers’ side were linked with the player in January but no deal was forthcoming.

In a Tweet posted on Tuesday evening, Joseph revealed that Celtic had reignited their interest in the player, after having a £4.6m bid rejected in January.

The club are reportedly facing competition from Germany and The Netherlands for the winger, who has seven goals and ten assists in 40 appearances for the Norwegian side.

Celtic have also been linked with Anderlecht’s Nilson Angulo, with reports from South America suggesting that an opening bid has been rejected. These rumours would suggest that Brendan fancies Daizen through the middle rather than bringing in a fresh central attacker.

The Scottish Champions have confirmed Kieran Tierney’s return to the club on a free transfer from Arsenal. The £25m export signed a five year deal with Celtic, adding quality to the backline. Ross Doohan and Callum Osmond are expected to join the club with just a modest compensation fee due for the Welsh attacker.
