Simić set to leave Milan and join Anderlecht for €3 million, the defender refused a new contract at the club | OneFootball

Jan-Carlo Simić will not be at Milan as he wants more playing time at a higher level, but the Rossoneri will retain a percentage of a future sale.

Simić has been one of the most prominent youngsters at Milan in the last few years, and he showed his quality briefly playing in the first team last season, even scoring a goal against Monza.

The Rossoneri wanted to lock down Simić to a new long-term contract as his current deal expires in 2025. However, as it turns out, an agreement could not be reached between the parties and Simić is on his way out of the club.

As reported by Matteo Moretto and others, the 19-year-old Serbian defender is close to becoming a new player of Anderlecht. The Belgian side will pay Milan €3m for the services of the player, with no bonuses in the deal, but with a 20% resale percentage reserved for the Diavolo.

Daniele Longo reports that Milan offered Simić a deal worth €300,000 per season, which would have made him one of the highest-paid youngsters at the club. However, the player’s desire to be involved right away in First Team football and not be part of Milan Futuro, means that he will leave the club.

Milan can now only hope Simić develops well at Anderlecht and is then sold for a big amount of money.
