Sevilla star emerges as summer target for Bayer Leverkusen | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla is attracting transfer interest by way of Germany.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Loic Badé as the player in the sights of Bayer Leverkusen.

The brass at the BayArena are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements at the heart of defence for next season, following the departure of Jonathan Tah for Barcelona.

A shortlist of options, in turn, has been drawn up, with Leverkusen understood to have made use of Liverpool’s negotiations for Florian Wirtz to touch base regarding a potential deal for Jarell Quansah.

As alluded to above, though, also front and centre on the agenda at the Bundesliga club is Loic Badé.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday:

‘Bayer Leverkusen add Loïc Badé to their shortlist for new centre back in addition to Jarell Quansah. Badé, appreciated internally — and one more name after contacts for Quansah in separate deal from Florian Wirtz.’

It now remains to be seen if cash-strapped Sevilla are open to parting with a key member of the club’s defensive ranks over the weeks ahead.
