Sevilla & Napoli locked in talks over defender transfer | OneFootball

The board at La Liga outfit Sevilla are in active negotiations over the potential sale of a member of the club’s first-team setup to Italian champions Napoli.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Juanlu Sánchez as the player at the heart of the talks.

Juanlu is for his part fresh off a productive campaign in Nervión, which saw the youngster continue to impress across a variety of roles.

All told, across 32 La Liga appearances, Juanlu racked up four goals, and four assists.

The versatile right-back – currently on international duty with Spain at the U21 European Championships – has in turn made his way onto the transfer radars of a whole host of clubs across the continent ahead of next season.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, one such club have opened discussions with Sevilla over a potential deal for Juanlu.

As per a report from MD:

‘Sevilla and Napoli are negotiating for Sevilla youth player Juanlu Sánchez.’

Turning attentions towards the financial side of things, it is added that:

‘Napoli have offered a maximum of €15 million, but Sevilla are standing firm in not going below 20 million.’

Further developments, one way or the other, are expected over the days ahead.
