Sevilla ‘close’ to agreement with new manager | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Sevilla are on the verge of tying up an agreement with the club’s next first-team head coach.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Imanol as the chosen one in Andalusia.

Speculation surrounding the plans of Imanol for next season has of course long been rampant in the Spanish media.

This comes after the 53-year-old made the call to bring a close to his thoroughly impressive stint on the bench at Real Sociedad.

Sevilla, for one, have long been credited wih a keen interest in the Spanish tactician, amid their own search for a manager to lead the club into a new era.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then the Nervionenses now appear to be closing on Imanol’s signature.

As per a report from MD, citing El Desmarque:

‘Sevilla could announce the signing of Imanol Alguacil in the next few hours. They are close to reaching an agreement with him on a two-year deal with an optional third.’
