Chelsea and Strasbourg are set to finalise the loan move of Kendry Paez in the next few days according to Ben Jacobs.
The Blues have been busy this summer and have already signed Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens, with more new faces expected to follow.
Chelsea are currently working on deals for Dutch duo Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons, with negotiations believed to be progressing well for both players.
Whilst incomings are important, outgoings also have a big importance this summer, with the Blues needing to sort out the future of a number of their top youngsters.
Paez falls into that category, having now joined Chelsea after the Blues agreed a deal worth £17.2m for the then 16-year-old back in the summer of 2023.

The teenager was in America for the Club World cup, and although he wasn’t part of the squad he did train with the first team.
Paez is already a full Ecuador international, and appears to have a bright future in the game, but supporters will have to wait a little longer to see him make his debut.
Strasbourg are set to sign Paez on loan, but the deal has yet to be finalised, and Jacobs has now provided an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“Kendry Paez’s Strasbourg loan set to be finalised in the next few days.”
Paez won’t be the only Chelsea player joining Strasbourg this summer, with Mike Penders and Mamadou Sarr set to join him.

Penders is set for the next step of his development in Ligue 1, and Chelsea are said to believe the young goalkeeper is “special.”
The Blues agreed a deal to sign Sarr in January, and he was part of the squad at the Club World Cup, but it’s been decided he would benefit from another year playing at Strasbourg regularly.
