Empoli and Venezia shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 stalemate that does little to boost either side’s hopes of safety.
The wait for a victory goes on at the Stadio Castellani, as the Tuscans haven’t managed to win yet in Serie A during 2025.
They had started strong with several chances, including a potential own goal when Ionut Radu parried and the Cande clearance ricocheted off teammate Doumbia to go wide.
Devis Vasquez was also alert on the Hans Nicolussi Caviglia free kick, but Venezia had a huge opportunity on 34 minutes when the goalkeeper was forced into an acrobatic save on Doumbia, meeting the Alessio Zerbin cross.

The deadlock was broken on the hour mark by Jacopo Fazzini, as Liam Henderson robbed Gianluca Busio in midfield and his cross found the midfielder for a splendid volley, his first goal of the season.
However, Venezia turned it around with Yeboah ready to take advantage of Vasquez flapping at a corner, then Busio also pouncing from point-blank range on a blocked Christian Gytkjaer attempt.
However, Tino Anjorin on his comeback from injury grabbed a point for Empoli with a marvellous right-foot curler from the edge of the area.
