Sergio Conceição set for meeting with Porto as he seeks Milan move | OneFootball

Porto boss Sergio Conceição will soon have a meeting with the Portuguese club to discuss his future amidst links with Serie A giants Milan.

The Portuguese has recently caught the attention of the Rossoneri, who have been in touch with his agent Jorge Mendes already and the manager is tempted by a move.

Luca Bianchin has reported that this week is likely to be decisive in Milan’s hunt for a new manager. While both Conceição and Paulo Fonseca are leading names, it is the Porto boss who tickles the club’s fantasy the most right now and he is the leading candidate.

He is following the situation at Milan with great interest. Yesterday, he went to Zurich, where his son Rodrigo plays. He will return to Porto in the late afternoon and because of that, the meeting with André Villas Boas, Porto’s new president, is postponed. But it will take place soon, as Conceição signed a new deal till 2028 fairly recently but that was signed under former president Jorge Nuno de Lima.

The appointment of Villas Boas has made the Porto boss look around at some options and he will speak to the new president about his future, as he sees Milan as a welcome destination. He will also look to somehow free himself from the club and then join Milan.
