Sep 13 MLS Aces Power Rankings - Post Matchday 30 & Matchday 31

Being away on vacation last week I wasn’t able to drop a MLS Aces Power Rankings article. However, on the “half glass full” side of things, I did miss a smaller matchday where only 6 matchday took place. So I have decided to lump together that smaller matchday 31 along with a full matchday 30 into an article here today. Matchday 32 is this weekend and the MLS Cup Playoffs are almost here. This is some of the most fun times of the year to watch and follow Major League Soccer! Soak it all in now folks because we are here for a wild ride for the rest of 2024. However, let’s take a look at how I rank my top 10 clubs heading into this weekend:1. Columbus Crew SC

2. Inter Miami CF

4. Colorado Rapids

5. FC Cincinnati

6. Los Angeles Galaxy

7. Vancouver Whitecaps FC

8. Real Salt Lake

9. Seattle Sounders

10. New York Red Bulls

I truly believe that 6 of the top 10 clubs above are true MLS Cup contenders. Columbus, Miami, LAFC, Colorado, Cincinnati, and the Galaxy are my picks for taking home the cup. Inter Miami CF are most likely at this point your 2024 Supporters Shield winners, the real question for them is can they set the points record and then go on to win MLS Cup. A positive for them? Lionel Messi is back and ready to suit up this weekend. Two other clubs have an interesting stretch in them as Columbus and LAFC both have cup finals to play in as they focus to also finish as high as possible in the standings. This race is going to be really fun as I feel like playoff seeing might matter more this season than ever. Here is how I see clubs 11 through 29 in the rest of MLS:11. Houston Dynamo FC
