Leeds United were held to a goalless draw in Stockholm as they faced Manchester United, beginning the pre-season schedule with a positive display.

The Whites enjoyed long spells of possession and threatened throughout though were unable to break the deadlock at the Strawberry Arena.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, defender Sebastiaan Bornauw said he was delighted to make a first appearance for the club.

“As a defender I am always happy to keep it zero at the back,” the Belgian explained. “I think early in the second half we could maybe finish the game so onto the next one.

“The atmosphere for a friendly I have never experienced something like this before so I am really happy. It was a good atmosphere and a really nice first game.

“It was a heavy week. [I played my] first 45 minutes and then we did some running afterwards so the legs feel tired but it was good work and that is important.

“It will be really hard work in Germany so, yeah, lets work hard and try to enjoy it a bit as well.”
