SEATTLE – The Leagues Cup 2025 Quarterfinals continued with Seattle Sounders FC and Club Puebla playing to a scoreless draw, with the MLS side advancing 4-3 on penalties, on Wednesday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, USA.

The Sounders dominated the first half with 75% possession but could not get a shot on target. A hard-fought second half saw both teams seeking the breakthrough moment.

Things got tough for the Sounders in the 76’ as Danny Musovski received a yellow card for a foul and a second yellow card for his reaction, leaving the U.S. side down a man for the remainder of the match.

The MLS club was able to hold off Puebla and force the shootout.

The Liga MX club was solid defensively to keep a Sounders team that scored 11 combined goals in Phase One off the board.

Goalkeeper Andrew Thomas played hero in penalties as he blocked Puebla’s first shooter Ricardo Marín and later denied Nicolás Díaz to send Seattle into celebration.
